Privacy advocates urge parents to leave WhatsApp for ArcaneChat
Original: a good parent don't offer their kids to Big Tech, move the family group to ArcaneChat # ArcaneChat # European # Europe #
Supporters of the open-source messaging app ArcaneChat are urging European families to move their group chats off WhatsApp, arguing that handing children's communications to Big Tech companies compromises their privacy and autonomy. The campaign frames switching to decentralised platforms as part of responsible parenting, tapping into wider European concerns about data protection and US tech dependence.
Why now: Growing European concern over children's privacy and reliance on Big Tech messaging apps.
