Autumn scenes from Mariehamn in the Åland Islands
Original: Happy #silentsunday everyone 🍁 Mariehamn, Åland Islands #åland #aland #alandislands #ahvenanmaa #mariehamn #autumn #leaf
People are sharing quiet autumn photographs from Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands, as part of the weekly Silent Sunday tradition of posting a single image with little or no text. The pictures show colourful leaves and early morning light in the Finnish autonomous region, joining similar autumn photo posts from elsewhere in the Nordic region and beyond.
Why now: Silent Sunday is a recurring weekend photo-sharing ritual, and autumn foliage is currently at its peak in the Åland Islands.
