Feyenoord goalkeeper Tjark Ernst under heavy fire

Original: tjark ernst

Feyenoord goalkeeper Tjark Ernst is facing sharp criticism after recent performances. Dutch football media report that the young keeper was harshly assessed by ESPN pundits, who said his display simply was not good enough. Despite the backlash, Feyenoord's Van Noortwijk publicly backed Ernst, arguing that midfielder Giovanni van der Graaf or teammates should rightly take the blame and stand up for him.

Why now: Ernst's recent poor performances and the debate over whether he should keep his place have made him a talking point among Dutch football fans.
