Original: andrés gudiño

Cruz Azul goalkeeper Andrés Gudiño is trending in Mexico amid reports that interim coach Joel Huiqui is reshaping the squad. Coverage says Huiqui must choose between Kevin Mier and Gudiño for the starting spot, with one champion from the club arguing Gudiño 'fulfils the essentials' in goal. Mier's absence from the matchday squad against Juárez has fuelled debate over who should be Cruz Azul's first-choice keeper.

Why now: New Cruz Azul coach Joel Huiqui's early decisions on the goalkeeper position have put Gudiño in the spotlight.
