Custom server project revives discontinued Neato robot vacuums
Original: Custom server to revive neato bots
A developer has released an open-source custom server, available on GitHub under the name Vacuula, designed to bring Neato robot vacuum cleaners back to life after the company ended support. The server replaces Neato's shut-down cloud services so the bots can keep working, and tech communities are discussing it as a way to save otherwise useless hardware.
Why now: Neato shut down its cloud services, leaving owners with bricked vacuums, and this project offers a workaround.
