TikTok bans Musk documentary account

TikTok has shut down the promotional account for Alex Gibney's documentary about Elon Musk. The ban, attributed to Larry Ellison's ownership of the platform, has drawn attention given the film's critical subject matter and questions about political influence over content moderation. Observers are debating whether the removal reflects standard policy enforcement or an effort to suppress coverage of Musk ahead of the film's release.

Why now: The ban raises concerns about censorship and conflicts of interest given the documentary's subject and TikTok's ownership.
