Francesco Totti makes headlines with memoir and health revelations

Original: francesco totti

Francesco Totti is back in the Italian news cycle on two fronts. The former Roma captain is promoting his autobiography, in which he recounts his battle with Covid-19, including pneumonia, his initial refusal to be hospitalised and the support of doctor Sergio Zangrillo. Separately, a Mediaset segment features Totti recalling a prostate check-up and a joke involving Luciano Spalletti.

Why now: New revelations from his autobiography and viral TV moments have put the former Roma captain back at the centre of Italian sports talk.
