Apple's $79 iPhone Duo case needs glue to stay on
Original: Apple's new $79 iPhone Duo case requires actual glue to stay on your phone
Apple is selling a $79 iPhone Duo case that reportedly requires actual glue to stay attached to the phone, according to PhoneArena. The unusual design choice has drawn attention and mockery, with people questioning why a premium first-party accessory would rely on adhesive rather than a conventional snap-on or magnetic mounting system.
Why now: The counterintuitive use of glue in an expensive official Apple accessory is surprising and invites criticism and jokes.
