Original: чемпионат мира по гимнастике
Russian gymnasts have returned to Moscow from the world championships. During qualification, Russian athletes led in five disciplines. Separately, gymnasts who were denied visas for the championships in the Netherlands may still qualify for the Olympic Games through other competitions, according to the IOC, while World Gymnastics says it continues talks with the Netherlands over the visa refusals.
Why now: The combination of strong results and the visa controversy surrounding Russian gymnasts at the world championships is drawing attention in Russia.
