Yemen's Houthi movement says it targeted the presidential palace in Aden with missiles, in an escalation of the country's long-running conflict. The attack reportedly struck at the heart of the internationally recognised government's seat of power in the southern port city. The government has not confirmed the full extent of damage or casualties, and regional observers are watching for possible retaliation.
Why now: A direct missile strike on the government's seat of power marks a significant escalation in Yemen's conflict.
