Finland's Digital and Population Data Services Agency is developing a European digital identity wallet. The end product will be a mobile application that Finns can use for tasks such as authenticating themselves on websites, in line with the EU's digital identity initiative. Discussion is taking place in Finnish among people following digital self-determination and EU technology policy.
Why now: The EU's digital identity wallet initiative is moving toward implementation, and Finland's version directly affects how citizens will prove their identity online.
