Trump says military execution will not be livestreamed
President Donald Trump has stated that a forthcoming US military execution will not be livestreamed. The announcement offers a rare comment on the Pentagon's capital punishment procedures, which have drawn attention given the small number of federal military executions carried out in recent decades. It remains unclear which case the statement refers to or what prompted the clarification, and debate is expected over transparency in military death penalty protocols.
Why now: unclear
