Ann Li Upsets Aryna Sabalenka at Wuhan Open

Original: ann li

American tennis player Ann Li defeated world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the Wuhan Open, ending the Belarusian's run at the tournament she has traditionally dominated. Sabalenka's struggles continue, as the unseeded Li secured a notable straight-sets victory that marks one of the biggest wins of her career and knocks out the top seed early.

Why now: Sabalenka is a top-ranked player and former Wuhan champion, so her upset loss to an unseeded opponent is a major tennis story trending worldwide.
