Riot Games is closing League of Legends Classic, the fan-favourite mode that restored the 2013 version of the game's gameplay, on 6 January 2027 after little more than five months of availability. Players and gaming outlets are discussing the announcement, with many questioning why a mode praised for recapturing the game's older feel is being retired so quickly.
