A Hamburg player is being described as a 'Glücksfall' – a lucky catch – for the tennis club in Hitzacker. The Lüchow-Dannenberg teams in the Bezirksliga and the divisions below mostly delivered mediocre results in the summer season, and the new arrival stands out as the bright spot in an otherwise unremarkable campaign, according to local reporting from the Elbe-Jeetzel-Zeitung.

Why now: Local sports coverage of a standout signing for a small-town tennis club during the summer season.
