Zelensky Vows to Resume Strikes on Russian Refineries

Original: Zelensky Says Ukraine Will Resume Russian Refinery Strikes, Defying Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine will resume its attacks on Russian oil refineries, despite pressure from US President Donald Trump to halt the campaign. The strikes target Russia's energy export infrastructure, which Washington has worried could push up global oil prices. The announcement sets up a fresh point of friction between Kyiv and its most important Western ally.

Why now: Zelensky is openly defying Trump's wishes on a high-impact wartime strategy, creating tension between Ukraine and the US.
