A hidden 4G chip planted inside Ledger hardware wallets is reported to have read users' secret recovery phrases directly from the screen and transmitted them to thieves, exposing crypto holdings. The claim is circulating widely among French-speaking crypto and tech communities, raising fresh concerns about tampered hardware wallets and supply-chain security for cold storage devices.
