Ukraine's naval forces say they struck the Borisoglebsk military airfield in Russia's Voronezh region overnight on 15 October, using a coastal Neptune missile system. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the attack hit six Su-34M fighter-bombers. The claim has not been independently verified, and Russia has not publicly confirmed the losses.
Why now: The reported destruction of multiple advanced Russian combat aircraft would be a significant battlefield development in the war.
