California voters dig into ballot pamphlet ahead of transit propositions
Original: I’m getting to the point where I need to sit down and go through the voters information pamphlet for California because
A California voter is setting aside time to work through the state's official voters information pamphlet, saying there is a long list of items on the ballot. Among the most significant: propositions to shore up funding for mass transit, including San Francisco transit agencies and BART. The comment reflects a broader sense that this ballot is unusually dense, with voters needing to research measures rather than decide at the polling place.
Why now: A California election with numerous propositions, including transit funding measures affecting BART and San Francisco, is prompting voters to research their ballots now.
