Reports circulating among US politics commentators claim administration officials have said the goal is to strip Ilhan Omar of her citizenship and deport her from the United States. Commenters describe the alleged plan as an attack on a naturalised citizen and warn it signals a broader effort against political opponents, starting with easier targets like Omar.
Why now: Claims that a sitting administration wants to revoke a congresswoman's citizenship are alarming and politically explosive.
