Exxon knew algae biofuel ads were false, testimony shows

Original: newly reported testimony shows that Exxon always knew its algae biofuel ads were complete bullshit—at least, well before

Newly reported testimony indicates Exxon knew its algae biofuel advertising was misleading before the ads ran. The evidence comes from documents disclosed in Massachusetts' ongoing climate deception lawsuit against Exxon, and was reported by Inside Climate News. Critics say the revelations add to a long record of the company promoting potential green technologies internally judged implausible while continuing to sell fossil fuels.

Why now: Fresh court documents in the Massachusetts climate deception lawsuit cast Exxon's green advertising in a damaging new light.
