Poland's Patriot air defense shield is running late
Original: Le bouclier polonais est à la bourre ! # Pologne # Patriot # Missiles # Défense # OTAN # DéfenseAérienne # Réarmement #
Commentary in French news circles says Poland's air defense shield, built around Patriot missile systems, is behind schedule. The claim comes amid NATO's broader rearmament push and Europe's drive to strengthen eastern-flank air defenses. Poland has been one of the biggest buyers of Patriot systems, and any delay in deliveries or deployment is being framed as a security concern for the alliance and the EU.
Why now: Poland is a frontline NATO state rearming rapidly, so reported delays to its Patriot-based air defense draw attention across European security discussions.
