A photograph of a dog taken in Cologne during carnival in 2007 is being shared among film photography enthusiasts. The shot was made on a Minolta X-300 camera using Kodak EliteChrome slide film, and is presented as part of a series of dog photos from the city. Viewers are responding to the nostalgic combination of analog equipment, slide film and a snapshot of Cologne street life from nearly two decades ago.
Why now: Film photography communities actively celebrate old slide-film work and carnival-era images of Cologne.
