West Virginia Falls to Oklahoma State in Playoff at Big 12 Match Play
Original: WVU Falls to No. 1-Seeded Oklahoma State in Playoff Tiebreaker at Big 12 Match Play Championship
West Virginia University's men's golf team was eliminated by top-seeded Oklahoma State in a playoff tiebreaker at the Big 12 Match Play Championship. The Mountaineers pushed the No. 1 seed to extra holes before falling short in the deciding match, ending their run in the conference championship event.
Why now: A playoff loss to the top seed at a conference championship is a dramatic, narrow defeat worth discussing among college golf fans.
