Sonora.chat pitches itself as an algorithm-free music platform

Original: What happens when you listen on https:// sonora.chat You listen to a human artist on sonora.chat, I promote that artist

A music platform called Sonora.chat is promoting its model in which listeners directly support human artists: every play promotes that artist on Mastodon and Bluesky, with no algorithm deciding who gets heard. The service says it automatically blocks AI-generated music so only real artists are featured, positioning listening itself as the promotion mechanism.

Why now: Ongoing debate over AI-generated music and algorithmic streaming has made platforms promising human-only, algorithm-free discovery a talking point.
