A growing cottage industry of iPod mods has produced Sprout Pi and Sprout Pico, two full motherboard replacements that bundle the most popular upgrades into a single board. Enthusiasts are highlighting them as a cleaner alternative to piecing together individual mods.

Why now: Retro tech fans are excited about an all-in-one board that modernises aging iPods instead of requiring separate mods.
