Original: Exodus from rural regions: Congress rapporteurs highlight the importance of multilevel governance in countering the phenomenon
Rapporteurs of the Congress of the Council of Europe have highlighted the importance of multilevel governance in countering the exodus of populations from rural regions. They argue that coordinated action between local, regional and national authorities is key to stemming depopulation of the countryside, a growing concern across many European countries.
