Ukrainian troops report sudden restrictions on Starlink access
Original: Ukrainian military's access to Starlink satellite internet suddenly restricted
Ukraine's military says soldiers' access to SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet has been suddenly restricted, raising concern on the battlefield where the system is critical for communications and drone operations. It remains unclear who ordered the restriction and whether it is technical or political. The development is drawing attention because Starlink has become essential infrastructure for Ukrainian forces.
Why now: Starlink is vital to Ukraine's battlefield communications, so any sudden restriction has immediate military and geopolitical implications.
