Solar Energy Politics Turn Nasty and MAGA-Tinged

Wired reports that US politics around solar energy are becoming increasingly hostile and strange, with opposition to solar projects picking up rhetoric associated with the Make America Great Again movement. The piece suggests clean energy has become another flashpoint in America's culture wars, with debates over solar farms and renewable policy turning personal and mean-spirited rather than purely technical or economic.
Why now: Solar power is increasingly entangled with partisan culture-war politics in the United States.
