Ukrainian forces have reportedly lost access to Starlink connectivity at a time of heightened tensions between Kyiv and Washington. The satellite internet service, provided by SpaceX, has been critical to Ukrainian battlefield communications since Russia's 2022 invasion. Observers are warning that any disruption could seriously affect Ukraine's military operations and signal a shift in US support.
Why now: Any interruption of Starlink service would have major military implications for Ukraine and fuels concern about weakening US support amid diplomatic tensions.
