Israel’s Expanding ‘Yellow Lines’ Reshape Gaza and Southern Lebanon
Israel is reportedly widening the so-called 'yellow lines' marking positions where its forces remain deployed in Gaza and southern Lebanon, effectively redrawing boundaries of control in both territories. The lines, originally intended as temporary deployment markers, now appear to function as de facto borders, affecting Palestinian and Lebanese access to land and complicating ceasefire arrangements and future negotiations.
Why now: Reports that temporary ceasefire deployment lines are hardening into durable boundaries raise concerns over territorial changes in Gaza and Lebanon.
