Developer unveils isomorphic music keyboard with base-12 notation

Original: Show HN: XY Music Notation I've been playing around with a new kind of isomorphic music keyboard that uses a base-12 not

A developer has introduced XY Music Notation, an isomorphic music keyboard project that pairs the instrument with a base-12 notation system for 12-tone equal temperament. Each note is represented as a number, and the creator has built tooling to generate sheet music so players can learn new pieces on the layout. Early reaction online is focused on whether a numerical, shape-based notation could make alternative keyboards easier to learn than traditional staff notation.

Why now: The project was just shared publicly, drawing curiosity about alternatives to traditional music notation and keyboard layouts.
