Google plans to let people publish their personal AI-generated, so-called vibe-coded apps through the Google Play Store, turning hobby projects built with AI tools into wider public releases. The move signals Google's push to embrace the wave of casual, AI-assisted app development and could reshape how lightweight apps reach Android users, though details on review and safety policies remain unclear.
Why now: Google is adapting its app store to the fast-growing trend of AI-generated hobbyist apps.
