DANA storm threatens Valencia as rains begin Wednesday
Original: levante emv
Spain's weather agency Aemet has warned that rain will begin moving across the country this Wednesday ahead of a DANA, the high-impact storm system threatening the Valencian Community. The alert comes as residents of the region, still mindful of previous severe flooding, watch forecasts closely. Local media including Levante EMV and El Debate are covering the warnings, with details on which areas will be hit first as the storm approaches.
Why now: A dangerous DANA storm is forecast to reach the Valencia region this week, raising fears given the area's history of deadly flooding.
