Facebook launches AI tool to customize your feed algorithm

Original: Facebook will let you customize your feed algorithm using AI Facebook's new "Your Algorithm" feature will let you direct

Meta is rolling out a new "Your Algorithm" feature on Facebook that lets users direct their own feed using AI. People can add and manage the topics they want to see in their feed and Facebook Reels, and Meta says recommendations respond right away after changes are made. The move gives users more hands-on control over what the platform's recommendation system shows them, moving away from purely opaque algorithmic curation.

Why now: Users have long criticized opaque social media algorithms, so direct feed control is a notable shift.
