Kyrsten Sinema reportedly backs Jay Feely's congressional bid
Original: Fmr. Dems for Feely: Sen. Krysten Sinema Backing Jay Feely For Congress: Report
Former Arizona senator Kyrsten Sinema is reported to be backing Jay Feely, the former NFL kicker running for Congress, according to a report flagged by the National Republican Congressional Committee. The NRCC framed her support under the banner of 'former Dems for Feely,' a nod to Sinema's break with the Democratic Party after leaving it to become an independent.
Why now: Sinema's endorsement of a Republican-backed candidate highlights her political realignment and its impact on a competitive House race.
