Richarlison scores for Tottenham Under-21s after first-team exile
Original: Richarlison scores for Tottenham Under-21s after exile from first-team squad
Tottenham forward Richarlison scored playing for the club's Under-21 side after being left out of the first-team squad. The Brazilian striker, who joined Spurs in a big-money move from Everton, has struggled for form and fitness, and the loan-style appearance for the youth team underlines how far he has fallen down Thomas Frank's pecking order. Fans are debating whether the move is a reset or the end of his Spurs career.
Why now: A high-profile, expensive signing being demoted to youth football is unusual and raises questions about his future at the club.
