La Ronde closes Goliath roller coaster after US accident
Original: journal la nouvelle
Montreal's La Ronde amusement park has temporarily shut down its Goliath roller coaster following an accident involving the same ride model at a United States park. La Presse reported the closure, and visitors are discussing safety concerns and whether the Montreal coaster shares design features with the ride involved in the incident south of the border.
Why now: An accident involving the same roller coaster model in the United States prompted La Ronde to close its Goliath ride as a precaution.
