The European Union has opened two new accession clusters for Ukraine, advancing its path toward EU membership. The move came after Ukraine's parliament, the Rada, passed a law on minority education, a condition Brussels had linked to progress in the negotiations. It marks another concrete step in Ukraine's bid to join the bloc despite the ongoing war.
Why now: Ukraine's EU membership negotiations have moved forward following its passage of the minority education law, a key reform demanded by Brussels.
