Manchester United risk losing wonderkid JJ Gabriel for £350,000

Original: jj gabriel

Manchester United have offered a new contract to JJ Gabriel, the 14-year-old forward widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football. But reports say the deal may not stop rival clubs from signing him for just £350,000 in compensation, a figure well below his perceived value. The story is drawing attention in the UK, Spain and Brazil.

Why now: The small compensation fee means other clubs could easily poach one of United's most promising young players.
