A developer reports steady progress on an open-source audiobook project, saying the Oudy daemon component is finished, the terminal-based player is nearly complete, and the web interface is coming along well. The work is described as a solo effort built around audiobook playback, with the developer sharing the milestone with a small but engaged audience.
Why now: The developer is sharing a visible milestone in a solo open-source project, which resonates with audiobook and self-hosting communities.
