Greta Thunberg Joins French Students in Climate Protest
Original: Greta Thunberg Joins French Teens on New Day of School Protests
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg joined French teenagers for a new day of school strikes, marching alongside students demanding stronger action on climate change. The demonstrations follow the wave of Friday school walkouts inspired by her movement, and her presence in France drew attention to the growing mobilisation of young people there and renewed focus on climate activism across Europe.
Why now: The high-profile activist's appearance energised and amplified the French youth climate strikes, making the protests newsworthy far beyond France.
