TV host berates journalist on stage at Matera Fiction festival

Original: giornalista

At the Matera Fiction festival in Italy, presenter Maria Rosaria Corona lost her temper with a journalist who criticised the event as fake, shouting from the stage: 'You are incompetent.' The journalist's remark, calling the festival 'very fake', triggered the outburst. The festival's organisers have since disowned Corona's behaviour, and the incident is drawing wide attention in Italian media.

Why now: The on-stage clash between the presenter and the journalist, and the festival publicly disowning it, is newsworthy in Italy.
