Civil servant accused of juggling five Government jobs for £350,000

Original: NEW: A civil servant allegedly used remote working and sick notes to juggle five Government jobs earning almost £350,000

Civil servant Kashim Chowdhury allegedly held five Government jobs at once, earning almost £350,000 while using remote working and sick notes to juggle the roles. His contracts reportedly totalled 183 hours a week, more than the 168 hours that exist, raising questions about how the arrangements went undetected and prompting calls for scrutiny of Whitehall hiring checks.

Why now: The apparent failure of Government oversight, with one man able to hold five public-sector jobs at once, has sparked outrage and debate about remote working and accountability.
