Early reviews are in for 'Crystal Lake', A24's prequel series to 'Friday the 13th'. Critics say the show delivers elaborate, over-the-top kills true to the slasher franchise, but fault it for a thin, underdeveloped story that fails to give the gore much dramatic weight.
