West Bengal political churn: TMC loses Bar Council post
Original: ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল
Political developments in West Bengal are drawing attention, with the BJP's candidate elected chairperson of the state Bar Council thanks to cross-voting by Trinamool Congress legislators, a setback for Mamata Banerjee's party. Discussion also covers shifting political allegiances in Bengali politics and the start of work to remove a puja pandal in Chorebagan, Kolkata, carried out in the presence of police.
Why now: Cross-voting handing the Bar Council chairmanship to the BJP is an unexpected political setback for the ruling Trinamool Congress
