Zhang Boheng to miss gymnastics world championships
Original: Zhang Boheng, Olympic all-around silver medalist, to miss gymnastics worlds
Zhang Boheng, the Chinese gymnast who won silver in the Olympic all-around, will not compete at the upcoming world gymnastics championships. The withdrawal removes one of the sport's top all-around contenders from the field and leaves China adjusting its lineup as it prepares to face rivals on the world stage without a key medal hope.
Why now: His absence weakens China's medal prospects at the worlds and removes a marquee name from the competition.
