Ham Radio Enthusiast Streams Weather Station Data to APRS Without a Radio
Original: Putting My WeatherFlow Tempest On APRS Without a Radio https://rant.mvh.dev/putting-my-weatherflow-tempest-on-aprs-witho
A ham radio operator has published a guide describing how to feed data from a WeatherFlow Tempest home weather station into the APRS amateur radio network without using a physical radio, relying instead on internet-based APRS-IS gateways. Fellow amateurs and self-hosting hobbyists are sharing the write-up, which combines weather monitoring, ham radio, and home lab interests.
Why now: It is a practical, well-documented project that appeals to the overlapping amateur radio, weather, and self-hosting communities.
