A new German feature film about football is searching for hundreds of extras, small-part actors and body doubles, with around 800 roles to fill. The casting is already underway in North Rhine-Westphalia, and organisers have put out a public call for applicants, drawing attention among football fans and aspiring actors in the region.

Why now: An open casting call offering roughly 800 extra roles is a rare chance for members of the public to appear in a cinema film.
