Ladybird close-up joins complementary colours photo challenge

Original: 'Komplementärfarben' # FotoVorschlag oh, da hätt' ich viele, da mach' ich's mir mal einfach und nehme einen "nahaufnahme

A German-speaking photographer has shared a macro close-up of a seven-spot ladybird for a weekly photo challenge inviting pictures of complementary colours. Rather than searching for something new, they picked a cropped detail from their SilentSunday picture, noting it was the first fitting shot that came up when browsing backwards through their archive. The image plays on the red-and-green contrast typical of the theme.

Why now: Photo challenge communities are actively posting entries for the current complementary colours theme.
